The mission of planting churches is the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth, and introducing new members into the body of Christ. However, the focus can easily be moved from growing the organism of the body of Christ, to founding the organizations and institutions which have historically given structure and order to the collections of believers throughout the world. It the mission of the Freedom Church Network to support healthy innovation and encourage change both within denominations and independent churches to let go of the concepts of church government and life provided first by the Israelitish church and later re-enforced by the Roman empire and truly embrace the vision that Jesus had for His church,
"I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. And I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice; and
there will be one flock with one shepherd."
John 10:14-16
There is only one shepherd and we are all sheep. There is only one teacher and we are all disciples. There is only one Lord and we are all servants.
"A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward."
Matthew 24:45-46
