I know that God is ONE. But the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is still mentioned in the Bible. I know that this is a big question, but how do the two statements work together?

You are right, there is only one God.

Interesting that you ask for Emanuel Swedenborg's words for the Trinity because His words for the Trinity are the same as those found in the Athanasian Creed. The Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is a fact that Jesus Himself explained as "I and the Father are one" and "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" and "No one comes to the Father but by Me" and "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" and "Before Abraham was, I am".

Jesus Christ is the solution to your dilemma.

Often times when people get into theological discussion of the Trinity, the question becomes more about WHAT God is, rather than WHO God is. It would be like me getting confused when thinking about a friend of mine because she is wife, a mother, a daughter, a professional, a lawyer, a home maker, a home owner, a car owner, and a friend. This doesn't change the fact that she has a single identity, she is a single person, and she only gets to interact as one person in this world with whatever influence she can extend. The various roles, aspects, and manifestations of God can derail the conversation from the core Biblical truth that Jesus Christ is WHO God is. He and the Father are ONE. Jesus Christ is the only God of Heaven and Earth. Jesus creates, redeems, saves, enlightens, teaches, answers prayer, and all the rest, because Jesus Christ is who God is.

And finally, the "Spirit" is "Holy" because it is the Spirit of the one and only God, Jesus Christ. It is God with us. Like He said, "Ask anything in My name, believing, and you will receive it" and like the apostle explained "the Holy Spirit was not yet, because Jesus was not glorified". When Jesus explained who He was as He was ascending to heaven after death, He said, "All power has been given to me". Not some. Not part. Not co-equal. Not shared. "All power has been given to me in heaven and on earth".

"Jesus Christ" is the only name I use when baptizing new believers, because Jesus Christ is the one and only God.
Everything is in Him Everything for Him.. everything is to him.. everything is through Him..

Read book Of Isaiah 9:6..
I feel like I have taken a breath of fresh air after being under water for a long time. How glad I am (almost dancing) to have found people who believe as I do that there is one God and that He is the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm so happy to have read your post that I'm almost speechless with joy! I'm not alone after all. I have been so long trying to show people this truth but no one I've written or spoken to seems able to comprehend the beauty and simplicity of the Lord's wonderful first coming. I was so down cast that it hurt me thinking that so few people could see God's love. But having discovered this sight and others like it affiliated with the New Church doctrines I am as one who has come among family.
BEWARE LEST ANY MAN SPOIL YOU THROUGH PHILOSPHY AND VAIN DECEIT , AFTER ' THE TRADITION OF MEN, AFTER THE "RUDMIMENTS OF THE WORLD, AND NOT AFTER CHRIST, FOR "IN HIM DWELLETH ALL THE FULNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY ..COLOSSIANS 2:8,9
3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

TRINITY IDEA IS AN IDOL..PEOPLE WORSHIP THIS BABILONIAN CONCEPT AS THEIR OBJECT OF WORSHIP IN THEIR MIND BUT IN SOUL IT HAS REVEALED IN THEM AS ONE TRUE GOD..DIVIDING TRUE GOD INTO THREE PEICES ..PARTIAL FAITH NOT FULL FIATH
I like Peter Devassy's thoughts:
The trinity has become an idol of thought.

And, with sincere humbleness, I am very clear that what I attribute to God inadvertently says just as much about myself.
I desire for my unity in the form of a body, soul and spirit.
So, a trinity of persons in god suggests that I do not have a unity.
So, I pray for ONE God so that I can be one spiritual person.
