Free Churches - Free as in speech? or Free as in beer?

However, Free Churches are not free in the sense that they require funding to operate. Successful churches provide spaces to worship, spaces to study, spaces to celebrate, spaces to meet, spaces to collaborate, and any number of other spaces to meet the needs of the people they serve. Successful churches also provide people to lead, people to organize, people to facilitate, people to teach, people to inspire, people to support, people to perform, people to manage, and more. And along with people and spaces, successful churches communicate through marketing, conversations, media, public relations, outreach, missions, advertising, programs, classes, events, and more. And to make all these spaces, people, and communication venues available to serve the life of the free church, money has to be spent -- invested in the kingdom.

So what makes Free Churches unique when it comes to money? Free churches are CASH economies. Free Churches don't raise money for real estate holdings, buildings, endowments, or trusts. Free churches invest everything that they receive each year in the current operations and present success of the kingdom. That means that if a local church finds itself with more financial resources than it can use in its own ministry in any given year, rather than socking it away for its own future, if that local church is a Free Church, it will find another local church and give their over abundance away by investing it in immediate needs somewhere else in the kingdom.
