What, if any, are the affiliations of this proposed church?

There are so many denominational and non-demominational churches about the world that it can truely make ones head spin trying to choose one. Most times I think that if I go here that I am going to get some piece of spiritual guidance that is closer to the word of God then if I go there, just to find out that both of those churches have flaws and inconsistances with what the word teaches. So I settle for the one church that I believe is the closest to the teachings of Jesus, but that church has little to no member fellowship, as if holding one's hands during the Lords prayer will infect them somehow, yet drinking from the same cup is fine by most.

Then there is the problem with false teachers. How do we know that Swedenborg wasn't a crazy schizophrenic that dreamed up all this jazz, all be it brilliant jazz in my judgment. In any case, I am the eternal skeptic when it comes to people claiming to have had extra-spiritual events pertaining to speaking directly to God the Father, whom I adore. How does anyone claim to know that his writings are true, or just some elaborate con spun by a charlatan to make a fool and his money part ways?

And last but not least. What affiliations does the church have with present political groups? People are imperfect and therefor make a church imperfect. Is this church affiliated with Rev. Jim Wallace, Rick Warren, or the Emergent Church. Do the founders of this church have any past associated with S.D.S. or believe in the coined Social Justice philosophy? These are all very important questions to be answered. The last thing I am interested in is joining some church, that is associated with the Fabian Society.
